Used mainly (but not exclusively) in corporate and commercial video projects, a professional and stylish logo reveal can boost a video from hum-drum to hum-awesome. Whether you consider yourself a beginner, intermediate, or expert video editor, creating a logo reveal can be achieved in your editing program of choice. Here are three tutorials to consider.

Premiere Pro

While not necessarily just for beginners, of the three editing programs on this list, Adobe’s Premiere Pro would probably be the most usable for those just starting off. It’s also the most limited in terms of some of the higher-end effects, but it’s certainly possible to create a simple yet stylish logo reveal using the program. Cinecon.net’s logo reveal tutorial is a great place to start. But if you’re looking for some other options, here are a few other tutorials to consider.

After Effects

After Effects, if you’re at least a little familiar with the program, is probably your best bet for creating a logo reveal. If you’re working in the Adobe Cloud, it’s a simple click between creating in AE then dropping it into a Premiere Pro timeline. If you’re on the RocketStock site, you can click over to the After Effects Templates section and search for Logo Reveals to find a bunch of pre-made options. You can also check out and download these free ones to begin with.

Cinema 4D

If you’re looking for something a little more challenging and advanced, Cinema 4D will be your best option to perform some more complex logo reveals. Cinema 4D is ideal for particle-driven compositions that can be quite eye-catching (but at times rough on your computer’s processing abilities)QuickVFX’s PolyFX logo text destruction is a great example of what Cinema 4D is capable of. Here are a few different options to consider as well.
