Learn how to choose your desired glow color in this quick After Effects video tutorial.
The glow effect can be an incredibly powerful tool in After Effects. If you want to quickly composite elements or give your footage a little punch, the glow effect is a great place to start.
Unfortunately, you can’t natively apply the glow effect to a single color channel in After Effects. However, by using the following technique outlined by AE master Andrew Kramer, you can simply use the eyedropper to select the color that you’d like to see glow.
The tutorial covers:
- Isolating Color in Keylight
- Inverting Alpha
- Solid Composite
- Compositing Effects Using Transfer Modes
